The weather and the setting was just 'perfick' for this years Golf day, held at Toft Golf course on 2nd June. We could not have asked for better, resulting in many sun blushed faces at the end of the day.
With all your efforts and many warm thank yous' to our many sponsors, the day made a profit of £1300, of this total £509 was made from the raffle alone. This was only possible with the generous attitude of all taking part and the many contributors of prizes to the raffle, with a special thanks to Andy Parrot of Waterside Garden Centre for the kind donation of our first prize, a great BBQ set.
The charity 'Kids in Action', in Lincolnshire receive £1000 and £300 will be used for deserving people in Bourne.
Many thanks’ go to everyone who took part, we hope you all enjoyed the day; especially the searches for golf balls lost in the thick undergrowth and many water features.
First prize of the competition went to the team Hook 'n' Slice pictured below receiving prizes from Lion President Jon Chudley. The team players were Wayne Catt (Captain), James Cottan, Dean Thompson and Lee McCallan:
Second prize went to the team Hereward Financial Services captianed by Mick Jones:

Third place went to Team Fenway:
We had as expected, lots of our own members 'skiving' from work to give their support and grabbing a quick sun-tan by manning a couple of holes for the 'Hole in One' (10th) and 'Closest to Hole' (13th) competitions, as can be seen from the photo below:
